Exit Interview

1. Comment about your work ethic in this course.

I was trying to get everything done perfectly. I often asked for help if I am stuck on something, and I came to flex to catch up and finish all work. I also reviewed mark for my past assignments on my education BC, saw and asked what are missing, and fixed every detailed things. I focused on class work and helped my friends, doing my work.

2. Which assignments did you enjoy and why?

Raft was the most enjoyable class for me. Survival and building is my favorite category of game. It was super hard first time I played because I did not know what to do, but now I enjoy playing raft (of course I know that finishing work is primary). I also like the sketch up assignment. It was very fun to make an 3D object and I could feel I am getting better at it.

3. Which assignments did you struggle with and why?

Thunkable was the hardest assignment for me. I guess I am no very good at coding, so I needed to follow the tutorial video very carefully. Especially the photo recognizer wast hard. The coding was very complicated, and I needed add many function to the app. I sometimes asked my friends for help but even they looked struggling with it. I could manage to complete them with help by Mr. Bilesky.

Game Journalism Day 4 - Upgrades

1. (original IMAGE) ( upgraded IMAGE) -What does it do better?

Upgraded storage has spaces more than double of original one. It does not need many materials to make the upgraded storage, so I can store more things with low cost.

2. (original IMAGE) ( upgraded IMAGE) -What's the difference?

Upgraded hook goes further and I can pick up things under the water much faster than original hook.

3. (original IMAGE) ( upgraded IMAGE) -How does this help?

Upgraded fishing rod is much more durable than original, so I do not need to recreate fishing rod so often.

4. (original IMAGE) ( upgraded IMAGE) -Why did you do it?

I wanted to plant more different crops like pineapples and watermelon.

5. (original IMAGE) ( upgraded IMAGE) -Was it worth it - why?

Upgraded axe is more durable, but I need a bolt to make it and I do not use axe very often especially on the raft, so I think original axe is enough for me: it may not worth it.  A bolt is hard to get and it is needed for making other things so I do not want to waste it.

1. If you were to start over.
From memory...layout the first 10 steps

1. Collect debris (plastic, plank, leaves)
2. Create a building hammer
3. Expand the raft
4. Build a water purifier
5. Build a simple grill
6. Create a cup
7.Create storage
8.Create a spear (prevent a shark from eating the raft)
9.Create a fishing rod (get food easily)
10. Create a research table
(Now player can survive and thrive)

2. What is the best tool to make for survival? (IMAGE)
A plastic or metal hook is the best tool for survival, because you can make many things by debris collected by hook.

3.  Your raft to date (IMAGE). What is the best feature on your raft?
My raft has the third floor, which is the best part on my raft, and I can land on any island very easily. In addition, I have more spaces for furniture.

Game Journalism Play 3

1. What NEW things did you build today? [IMAGE]

I built second floor. I built it with stairs, wooden floor, fences, and walls.

2. How will these NEW things help you play the game (TIPS&TRICKS)?

- By building second floor, I can get more spaces and organize the furniture (storage, researching table, simple grilling, and water purifier) tidy.
- The fences prevent me from falling into sea mistakenly.
- I can easily get debris using plastic hook from second floor.
- It is easier to land on the island whose shore is high from second floor.

3. What strategies are you going to try to focus on tomorrow?

- I will organize the furniture and I will try get more things from researching table.
- I will practice making direction of the raft using mast.

4. Add a picture of your raft. (include a caption) Explain why you built the raft the way you did.

I built second floor instead of expanding raft horizontally because it will be easier for me to defend the raft from the shark. ( it's easier to find where a shark is attacking my raft)
